“The company have developed a positive health & safety culture, which engages all the company personnel. Their culture develops and adopts good business practices, which is reflected in their ISO certification (where no special or separate focus is implemented, just for the sake of meeting ISO requirements). The Occupational Health & Safety system is integrated throughout all the depots. Processes and structure are common throughout, so that depot records (calibration, equipment servicing, audits and safety checks etc.) are visible to the specific depot personnel, with all depot records accessible by senior company authorised personnel.
The company have continued to introduce improvements (such as the new Drivers Handbook, signage to warn drivers of cleaning personnel at rear of vehicle, Solo-Protect for Lone Working and priority allocated to pedestrians in transport yards).
Objective evidence seen and gathered during this two-day assessment, shows the implementation of health & safety processes are effective, managed and controlled. All the requirements of ISO 45001 are being satisfactorily met, and in many places, exceeded. There were no Non-Conformances nor any Opportunities for Improvement (OFI) identified or raised.
I have therefore no hesitation is recommending that LC Vehicle Hire has continued certification to the requirements of ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.”
